Vitavoxbox: flawless future powered by ceramide caplet serum!

 

I got this in the mail and what a lovely surprise it was! I immediately began to laugh only because the first thing I saw was a burn cream and earlier that day I was ranting on how well I tend to burn myself! I was cracking up! Let's get to the reviews and what exactly is in here!

I was intrigued by this little fella right here! And the Serum gods are real! This felt sooooooo good! And as you might all ready know since I'm always saying I have dry skin ohh this made me very happy! It felt soo good and the little pearls do pop once they get sucked into the pump and it makes your face feel soo refreshed I just was loving every moment this little fella had to give! Out of all the products in the box this one was one of my favs! 

Soo! This was neat I'm sure we are all familiar with sooomething like this but round? Haha, well this actually kinda beats the current one I have! Kuddos soft lips! I love the chopsticks and glosses that tingle! And it didn't feel waxy and didn't leave my lips feeling sticky! It does what it says and the scent was lovely! I really enjoyed this little cube of goodness!

Soooooooo- I'm bummed about this guy. I went in with high hopes and this just wasn't for me. They are really soft gummies, start off tasting great but have such a turn in taste afterwards I was taken back by it! I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought well- it's a vitamin/ dietary supplement like come on- but I didn't really get any energy from it. I do have a high tolerance to caffeine so maybe this just wasn't for me? But this just didn't do much for me. I do love the idea of it tho!

This I haven't used yet! And I'm happy I haven't! Lol meaning I haven't burned myself yet! Thank god! But everyone should have a burn cream! It's good to have when it does happen! And go figure I didn't have any and I love knowing that I do now! 

So this review on the pure leaf unsweetened tea is coming from my husband! Lol! He drank my tea! I know the nerve! But he obviously loved it! he didn't leave a drop for me! He's a tea drinker and he said it was really really great tasting so much soo he didn't share with his wife -_- men...

It's kinda odd to review tampons...  But I do work out and go to the gym daily so these will be must! I couldn't imagine working out with a pad I just couldn't! Noooo! TMI but it's true!

I'm so excited that I finally got this in the mail today! Since I moved I was worried that I wasn't going to receive this but I finally got my mail forwarded to me! It was a little blue box with that held a big POW! And I'm excited and pleased! Inside I received five products all full-sized! It came with one Olay regenerist luminous moisturizer, a Sally Hansen nail polish in the color Baracuda, a ecotools pure complexion facial sponge, one tide Togo pen, and lastly pure silk rich and luxurious shave cream raspberry mist. 

I'm very excited to try this facial sponge ive never seen this before and it's pretty interesting and I'm really excited to try since I do have dry skin seems like it could be a good exfoliator. It seems like almost like a foot scrubber but it says it softens when wet! also the sponge is fragrance free colorant free, dermatologist tested and gentle enough to be used morning and night. Also it's supposedly made from some kind of vegetable that grows out in Japan, Korea, and South East Asia. So I'm excited! 

As a girl who wrote the Chronicles of a dry skin girl you can bet your money but I'm very excited to try this! Always on the hunt for a different moisturizer that works hands-down amazingly. I haven't found my holy grail moisturizer but my fingers are crossed and I will not lose hope!

Well ladies these two products are the two that I'm looking forward to the most and I will post up a review on what I think how it's going! If it's a yay or nay! Xoxo babes

Whitening Lightning

If you've been watching YouTube for a while now I'm sure you've heard of Whitening Lightening. With good reasons of course. Hands down and with all honesty I hesitated for a while on getting glosses from the site just because I don't really like to buy makeup online and I'm pretty picky. More so with glosses. I've been following Whitening Lightning on Instagram for quite some time and like any other woman in the world that nude gloss just kept catching my eye. I was given the opportunity to try out these products and HOLY cow I was surprised. These are the most pigmented glosses I've ever tried. They are thick and opaque! I love it! There pepperminty in smell and come in the most handy packaging anyone could ask for. As soon as you open any gloss automatically a little light turns on in the inside. Also each gloss itself has a little mirror! Can you say convenience? As a mom I'm always on the go but I'm always trying to look somewhat decent and if you can help me out with a good packaging well that's even better. 

Can we say opaque? I'm blown how true to color they are! Each swatch is just one application I didn't go over it twice. Only one has a glitter sheen to it and that's the pouty princess gloss. The rest have no glitter in them. I got to say I'm pretty impressed and am relieved that it wasn't just some hype on YouTube. You get exactly what you pay for! 

    Whitening Lightning's CEO Jennifer Garard is coming out with a cosmetics line called Garard Cosmetics featuring this amazing BB plus illumination facial cream. If you know me you know I have dry skin and I am all about dewy skin or at least making it look like you got it! Girl like Jaclyn Hill says "if it can make me look like a disco ball I'm all for it". I love this stuff and I love a full coverage foundation so what I do is put a few pumps of this magical cream in my foundation and mix the two. It gives me such a glow and sunkissed feel!

How sweet is the Chocolate Bar by Too Faced?

Soo as you can see your girl here has more the a few palettes under her belt here. Every time I see something new come out of course I wanna run to my Ulta or Sephora and buy the whole collection but my bank account quietly reminds me not to. -sigh-. The chocolate bar has been out for some time now and I thought how cute is that packaging! But do I really need it? I had seen it online and in store and kept thinking to myself this reminds me of Urban Decays Naked1. So it kept putting it off. 

     I love my neutrals so so much. For me it compliments my skin tone and I find it goes with anything I wear. It's my more comfort zone I will say that. Which is why I loved my naked1 foreverrrrrr-! But I kept coming across Julia's instagram (@juliasallure ) and this girl is soo talented and happy we both follow each other she's such a DOLL -back to the point lol she totally sold me on this. I'm officially in love with this bad boy and I can tell it's going to be my go to palatte!!

Here's a look on the inside along with the names! When you open this little guy he smells (and I say this with my opra voice) AMAZING!! I don't really eat chocolate but holy mother of willy wonka I was dazed by it's smell alone! I didn't know this guy was made with 100% cocoa powder! I pick mine up at my Ulta and it came along with some goods a primer and sample better then sex mascara plus I had a three dollar off coupon so I was a happy camper! The pallet itself just comes with a little look book (I guess you could call it) of three different ideas you could put together using the pallet.

The colors are great and so is the pigmentation! They come off sooo fluffy it's just a dream for blending! I know I'll be using this quite a bit! And am truly excited! Well guys this is my insight on this it's definitely a go in my book and well worth the buy! Hope I helped someone out there!

Spring Fling

Spring is that you?? 

Hey loves I'm baaaack- well if you follow me on Instagram and on YouTube you know how desperate I am for spring clothing season to begin along with upcoming makeup trends for this year! 

When fashion week happened everyone was raving about this years makeup trends -one defiantly being dewy skin. Who doesn't want that youthful fresh look to that pretty little face of ours. Another tend is the pop of color where you can have a neutral eye look and in the corners of the eyes have a pop of color or bright eyeliner or bright under eyeliner. 

I feel like the 90's decided to pay us a visit this year or should I say this summer and spring time with the florals the highwaisted shorts and the crop tops. It seriously reminds me of the 90's but hey were all loving it right? 

 

Regardless of what your style is I'm so happy that Springtime is here! the weather is warming up and I get to wear some shorts and not some funky jeans or some sad looking yoga pants -though I still might rock the yoga pants here and there I'm really excited to start throwing on the dresses and throwing on the shorts!

Tips for IMATS 2014

I'm pretty sure everyone is pretty sick about hearing about IMATS -if you missed out that is. Needless to say it's a amazing experience for anyone who enjoys makeup! If you don't know what imats stands for it's International Makeup Artist Trade-Show hence the nickname IMATS. It's a big convention center where all your YouTube gurus, makeup artist, up coming artists, teachers, and makeup vendors gather every year with stops all over the world. Pretty exciting-

   So this is mainly going to be about tips on what I did, in depth, to my first time at IMATS amazing.

1.) BUY your tickets obviously early.

I kept hearing and reading online how soo many people didn't get their tickets this year because they SOLD OUT. This convention is growing every year. So no surprise there. Go to IMATS website to buy your tickets there.

2.) on the site check out the vendors and list where you want to go.

With that said have a list of things you know you want and what color you want them in. Your going to be waiting in line after line so the last thing you want to do is wait in line to decide then get in another line to tell the person what you want then to another line to purchase. Be ready and have your lists. AND prioritize. Lime crime sells out faaaaaast and the line for sugar pill pffft insane. So note what's most important to you and what you want the most.

3.) The early bird gets the worm-

I am not kidding when I say I was up at 3am getting ready and out the door by 5am. Not kidding. And no we were NOT the first ones there we needed up being eighth in line. 

4.) Going early? Be smart! 

I took my husband to imats I knoooow right?? But he took one for the team! I made him wear a backpack that had obviously my touch up makeup, snacks, and water bottles. Plus we had sweaters on and I knew we were going to need somewhere to keep them in. The back pack was amazing.

5.) Be cute and comfortable-

What does that even mean?? It means don't wear six inch heels! Your setting your self up for a hot mess. Your going to be waiting in lines, walking and standing a lot! ALSO be hands free!  By that I mean NO bulky bags!! Your going to be holding bags as is. Normally I have a big purse but I wanted to keep it light! Note that if your meets YouTube beauty gurus your gonna wanna prolly take photos with them! Keep some powder to touch up and maybe a small comb and of course some gloss.

6.) if your going to go meet your youtubers have a twitter and follow them!

They'll keep you posted in their location and where to go and when. That's how I got to meet Kandee Johnson!!

7.) Honey I left the kids at home-

Ooooooooh MY GOD- I was in such shock people took their kids and lemme tell you...they looked stressed! Your waiting in line...and it happens (mom I need to pee) or the baby poops. Your getting out of that line you waited in forever to go to the bathroom. Kids are restless and it's normal. But for YOUR sanity I deff say find a sitter.

Soo those where my tips on imats pretty simple, but very helpful this was my first Imats and it was a total success! Hope this helps someone out there!

The dry skin chronicles

   Let me start this post by going into basics. Let me give you a example here: you're going to cook an amazing dinner, something absolutely delicious and you need a cooking pan to do so...right?? 

Would you use a dirty pan? GOD no! That goes for anything!! I always use this comparison when I'm doing makeup or anyone asks for a makeup tip!! Don't start with a dirty face! There's steps in getting a smooth foundation and it's starts with the skin baby!!

We've all seen amazing photos on Instagram, Facebook, TV, and of course magazines and what not. We see the beautiful girl with amazing skin and flawless makeup. We think if I BUY what she has or is using my skin will look like that. WRONG!! Oh how well marketing and advertisement works!! We all have different skin colors, skin types and skin problems! It's a matter of figuring out what works for YOU. 

   I myself have very dry skin. I wasn't always that way tho. I use to be whats referred as combination skin. Which is forehead and cheek area is more dry and the T-zone meaning chin, and nose, and eyebrow area to be somewhat oily. Over time and sadly with age my skin got dry! And I blame no one but MYSELF and some what to genetics. 

    LADIES I CANT STRESS IT AS MUCH AS TO THIS BY SAYING TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN!!!! As a teenager I would go to sleep with makeup on, not wash my face 

-obviously- regularly and I wouldn't moisturize. I was asking for it! And sure enough it happened my skin got dyer and dryer 😬 I never had acne or breakouts other then a occasional pimple due to a period coming on. I lucked out..I know! But genetically no one in my family had or has acne so I didn't feel the need to do all the steps in taking care of my skin. I regret it SO much now!!  

   If you have oily skin you still need to moisturize!! your face will thank you, and you will age better then what oily people already do. Picking a light weight moisturizer and using it as a primer before doing your makeup will help!! Makeup powders and foundations take there toll on the skin if you don't take some steps into consideration. Makeup will dry you up if you do not remove them at night!! Or worse cause breakouts. 

✋Girl wash that face! use a makeup wipe, soap, your child's butt wipes just take it off before bed!! 

For my dry sisters out there I am sure you already know any face wash you use always will leave you feeling dry. 😑 the struggle I know- but it's important since you have dry skin to exfoliate all those dead skin cells off of you about once to twice a week. My oily skin gals you too!! You have dead skin cells too! don't think you don't! 😂 

   So after you -hello- wash that pretty little face of yours you have to lube it all up with some goodness. This Clinique Face cream and eye cream is heavier so it's more for the night time. But this Origins GinZing moisturizer UGHHHH I can't even deal!! Smells amazing!!!!!! Its light weight, deffinatly something I use before putting my foundation on, and I believe both dry and oily skin types could use. It's smells like oranges and has been giving my face such a glow the more I use it. It's amazing period.

This little sucker deserves its own paragraph alone- 

This is Josie Maran 100% PURE argan oil. (Girl you rub oil on your face???) YUP sounds insane right?? Let me just say IF YOU HAVE DRY OR OILY SKIN THIS PRODUCT IS FOR YOU!! (Girl your crazy) nope!!! There are two formulas this is the original and is recommended for dry skin, there is also a light version of this for my oily gals out there as well. What does argan oil do?? It's has lots of vitamin E and antioxidants which will help nourish your skin and prevent fine lines. It's also said to help with mild acne. Argan oil can be used for your face, hair and nails. Your hear this stuff referred to as liquid gold. I personally get a few drops and rub it all over my face. This product will not clog your pores as you would think since that's what oil does. Your skin literally soaks it up!! It isn't greasy it feels more like a dry oil to me. I love love love this stuff and am sooo happy it's in my life!! 

With ALL that said take care of your skin it's easy and effortless really and DONT BE LAZY!! You will thank me later!!
